    PRIDE ADVANCES TO SCBL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIESThe Piedmont Pride has advanced to the Southern Collegiate Baseball league Championship Series, courtesy of a hard fought 2-1 win over Team Charlotte Thursday night at the Winthrop Ballpark. The win clinched the best of three series, after the pride won game one 18-1 and Charlotte won game two 5-3.     PRIDE CLINCHES SECOND STRAIGHT SCBL REGULAR SEASON TITLE The Piedmont Pride summer baseball team captured its second consecutive regular season Southern Collegiate Baseball League crown by beating the Concord Weavers 10-1.     The Piedmont Pride placed 8 players on the 2016 Southern Collegiate Baseball League all-star team. The team will play a round-robin series this weekend in Atlanta with the Sunbelt and Florida Collegiate Leagues.     PRIDE HAS GREAT WEEKEND AGAINST THE SBA BONESThe Piedmont Pride baseball team entered the weekend with a 1-game lead over the SBA Bones in the Southern Collegiate Baseball League standings.       The Piedmont Pride summer baseball team will play all home games at The Winthrop Ballpark. The Pride plays in the Southern Collegiate Baseball League, and is sponsored by the Piedmont Fellowship of Christian Athletes.     Piedmont Pride Head Coach Joe Hudak says his roster is coming together very nicely. “We got a late start on our roster, since we didn’t join the league until December”, said the veteran college coach. “Most summer teams have their rosters completed by November.”   When he started putting the roster together, Hudak had a goal of having 13-14 position players and 12-14 pitchers.   Read More...
